Myogenix cheated customers, selling steroids as dietary supplements

Dietary supplements companies frequently label anabolic steroids as dietary supplements. Thus, they sell these illicit medications. They cheat the Drug Enforcement Administration and customers that purchase such preparations. So, the supplement Spawn contained two steroids but it was marketed as a dietary supplement.
The company Myogenix admitted to selling Spawn between 2007 and 2009. The company was sentenced to pay a $500.000 fine. Furthermore, Myogenix forfeited $100.000 immediately.
According to the decision of the judge, preparations manufactured and sold by this company will be tested for five years by an independent organization. All new dietary supplements should be controlled carefully and approved by the FDA before Myogenix will be allowed to sell them.
